Friday morning, I was still caught between sunlight and sleep when Ben wrapped his arms around me and said, "I still can't believe how lucky I am... I get to wake up next to you every day."
And even though we'd both overslept and were about to be thrown into a whirlwind of five minute showers, the three year old in mismatched socks, and a band of girls forced to eat their poptarts in the car - time stopped for us...giving us the moment to breathe, see the light in each other's eyes, and smile.
I opened my eyes Saturday morning because I heard him whisper, "You're beautiful..."
Yesterday I drove Ben and the girls to the airport because their summer visit with us is over.
...something from my blackberry.
Paula (3:42pm) So are you guys actually going somewhere?
Ben (3:42pm) Soon. I hope.
Paula (3:43pm) Love you.
Paula (3:59pm) The movie theater is lonely without you :(
Ben (3:59pm) Everything is lonely without you.
Ben (4:00) I miss you too.
Paula (4:01pm) ...you're right. You always take my words and make them that much better.
Ben (11:09pm) I love you.
You see? I know you do. Even though everything else seems out of place, the odd color, or wrong size...this...this is so right.
