Baby Steps...

It's the funniest thing, really. I keep this blog and I know I'm supposed to write words in it but time and time again I find myself opening it up only to tell myself I've got nothing. Then, I'll catch myself animatedly telling a story at the grocery store or in my office and someone will say something off the wall like, "You know, you should write!" and I smile or laugh and say something like, "I do, how crazy is that?"

...only, I don't.

I mean, obviously I don't because there hasn't been anything new for you to read in a month.

Dude, I think I need an intervention.

Let's take this writing thing in baby steps, shall we?

Tonight I decided to go for a walk. Since Ben is flying that meant Ruth was going with me whether she wanted to or not. To entertain herself, Ruth decided to run intervals. A mile and a half later, she was bent over the side of the road begging to go home when I told her, "Your chest wouldn't hurt if you'd slow down for a bit."
"I can't help it, I love running!" she said as she took off again.
I laughed as I muttered, "I should put you in track."
And that's when she laughed and squealed, "No, you should put me in charge!"

Baby steps aren't so bad, are they?

Love,
me
